Geoprobe 6620DT

Our 2006 Geoprobe 6620DT is a state of the art direct push machine mounted onto a rubber track unit. Its wide tracks and a heavy duty undercarriage allows it to work on all terrains whether it be concrete, pavement, deep in the woods, through a stream - you name it, all via remote control.

This machine is small on size, but big on power. Its hammer delivers 1920 blows per minute, at staggering forces greater than 20,000 pounds per blow, and is capable of obtaining repeatable and accurate blow counts. The hammer was designed to conform to ASTM D1586-99 Standard Test Method for Penetration Test and Split Barrel Sampling of Soils.

Measuring approximately 7'9" L x 5' W x 7'3" H, it easily navigates through tight spaces, around unfriendly corners and inside of buildings. There are few places this machine can't reach. Equipped with a decontamination rack and water transport system, this machine is always ready to go.

Geoprobe built and designed attachments allow for in-situ soil gas and groundwater sampling. An attached Geoprobe chemical injection pump allows for the advancement of soil borings followed by on the spot chemical injection - no need to set a series of wells.

This unit is recommended for use in loose to medium sands and soils, for the collection of discreet soil samples with little surface disturbance, and installation of 2" diameter wells to up to 198 feet (as soil conditions warrant), while still allowing a nice seal and sand pack.

Some features:
  • Easily Installs 2" Monitoring Wells

  • Operates with Clearance as Low as 10'

  • Collects Soil Gas Samples, Groundwater Samples In-Situ

  • Geoprobe Chemical Pump Attachment Allows for Direct Chemical Injection
