Drilex Environmental has purchased and taken delivery of a new Geoprobe
6620DT. The new Geoprobe has added
features including an overhead mast with a hydraulic winch, the GA3000
Auger Head attachment, and the DH100 Drop Hammer. These new features allow the Geoprobe to
become more versatile offering clients more for their projects. The Geoprobe’s added overhead mast
with the hydraulic winch is designed to relieve operator fatigue and cut
down on task time. It also allowed
for the addition of the GA3000 Auger and DH100 Drop Hammer. The GA 3000 Auger Head attachment
actually spins augers for well installation and the DH100 provides the
client with Standard Penetration Tests.

This fall, Drilex Environmental will begin the second phase of drilling
services for the Air National Guard (ANG) base in South Burlington,
Vermont. In February 2007, Drilex
was awarded one of their biggest contracts by CH2M Hill for drilling
services. The ANG base is scheduled
to undergo remediation activities for the removal of jet fuel impacts and
in May 2007, Drilex completed the initial phase of drilling. The scope of work included drilling ten
(10) 240 foot bedrock holes, forty (40) 100 foot overburden wells, twelve
(12) 100 foot Geoprobed holes, and the installation of twenty (20) wells for
high vacuum extraction purposes.

This past spring, Drilex
Environmental donated its resources to the Jesse Burkett Little League by
helping to raise the lights at the Jesse Burkett Field. Every July and August over 5,000 little
leaguers take the field for practices and games. With the overwhelming number of players
the League had decided to install lights for the field to allow for evening
games and practices. Drilex
responded by drilling the holes for the foundation of the light poles. “We had completed a similar project
for a Sturbridge little league field and after speaking with the people
from Jesse Burkett we know this was something we could help out on. Drilex is happy to have done it, it’s
for the kids, and we’re pleased that we were able to give back to a
community that has supported us for a number of years,” said Drilex
Manager, Mr. David Crawford.
